We are very pleased to announce to you the upcoming Book Launch of our true life inspired short story by Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor, My Father's Daughter. My Father's Daughter is an inspiring true story of a Father and his daughter. The Book Launch will be happening in Both Abuja and Lagos. You are welcome to attend either. I am my father’s daughter. I am unapologetic about it. The rain poured down from the heavens like a hole had suddenly come unplugged by the creator, from where huge unending drums of water poured onto the red earth associated with Benin City. Benin, the ancient city of the Ogisos, the land of the Obas, home to a people of heritage so rich in culture that their tales of splendour abound on the internet and in history books. The relics of their civilization grace our galleries as well as the museums of other countries across the world – treasures taken without the consent of the original Benin owners. Suffice it to say we shall come back to the matter of heritage. Let us focus on the father and his daughter who are at the center of this narrative for now. Through that rain and the red muddy flood it created, waded a man with grey hair determined to get to the school.
